Machin U248c Single 17p FCP PVAD Short Band

Printed by Harrison & Sons Limited in Photogravure on Fluorescent Coated Paper (FCP). The gum is PolyVinyl Alcohol Dextrin (PVAD).
Issued 4th September 1984. There are also two phosphor bands.
The only source of this scarce 17p issue is from Prestige Pane UEP19. The U248c is only found 0n the third pane of the “Christian Heritage” Prestige Booklet DX5 (only one stamp per pane!). The right-hand phosphor band is also deliberately short at the bottom to prevent the phosphor encroaching onto the ’13p band at left (U219)’ directly below.

We will try to mention any other numbering that we may use if not covered by the above. Sometimes particular stamps, booklets, or cylinder blocks are not recognized anywhere. Hence, in this case, we would also use our own expertise to describe and value that item.
In conclusion, all of our stamps are also unmounted mint and in an excellent condition. We will mention any variation to this statement.
