Description

Machin UG205 Single 50p NFCP PVA 2013

Issued 19th September 2013.

Printed by Enschede in lithography.

Slate-blue. Printed on non-fluorescent coated paper (NFCP) and with polyvinyl alcohol gum (PVA). There are also two long wave phosphor bands with blue fluorescence.

Source and date codes are MPIL and M13L.

Perforation 15 x 15 E Inverted. This anomaly was caused by the sheets being fed the wrong way round through the perforator. This resulted in the elongated perforation hole being at the top, instead of the bottom, of the vertical edge. The Merchant Navy Prestige Pane UHP32 pane is also the only source of the two Machin stamps UG203 (5p) and UG205 (50p). Also the error was not corrected at the time of the issue.

Gibbon’s GB QEII Specialised Vol 4 catalogue number UG205.

Concise (2017) catalogue number U3017 valued at £3.00.

Unmounted mint and in pristine condition.

You are buying ONE single 50p stamp. Also let us know if you want a particular position from the pane.
