Description
Machin UJE5 1st Enschede Gold from 10000 Roll.
Gold.
Issued July 2006?
Printed by Enschede in photogravure. The paper was non-fluorescent coated paper (NFCP) also with acyylic (PSA) gum.
There are two phosphor bands with bright blue fluorescence .
This example comes from a 10,000 vertical stamp reel costing £3,200.00 (in July 2006).
This coil of 10,000 was not sold by the Philatelic Bureau, so no stock number available.
Royal Mail produced rolls of 10,000 1st and 2nd class stamps for businesses with a large usage of the post. An example would be mailing houses who process mail on behalf of other companies. On every tenth stamp of the roll, the stamp number is printed (they appear in reverse looking from the rear) on the backing paper. Therefore as the stamps were peeled off from the roll, the user would know how many were left!
Stanley Gibbons Great Britain Queen Elizabeth II Specialised Catalogue Volume 4 Part 2 catalogue number UJE5. There doesn’t appear to be a catalogue number for this Enschede coil of 10,000, so we saying it is UJE5 with “tongue in cheek”! However, there is a very good ‘photo-negative’ effect on these stamps, so perhaps it is UJE5…….
You are buying TWO strips of 5 coil stamp. One strip with ink-jet number, also the other strip of five does not have a number.

We mention Stanley Gibbons catalogue numbers where it is possible. These numbers are either from the “Concise Stamp Catalogue” or from the “Specialised Stamp Catalogue Volume 4 Part 1”. We will try to mention any other numbering that we may use if not covered by the above. Sometimes particular stamps, Smilers sheets, booklets, miniature sheets, or cylinder blocks are not recognized anywhere. Hence, in this case, we would use our own expertise to describe and value that item.
In conclusion, all of our stamps are unmounted mint and also in an excellent condition. We will mention any variation to this statement.
