Commemorating Christmas. This stamp shows ‘The Herald Angel’.
Traditional religious themes are featured on these stamps by Austrian-born designer Fritz Wegner.
Issued 26th November 1969.
Printed in photogravure by Harrision & Sons Limited. There is also a 3mm central phosphor band on these stamps.
Colours: vermilion, new blue, orange, bright purple, and light green. There is also bluish violet, blackish brown, and gold.
The Queen’s head is embossed in gold.
Gibbon’s Specialised Catalogue Volume 3 number: W175b.
